😭😭😭😭😭 this book godammit！！！！ I loved it so Damn much！ Every single page， every single minute I spend reading it… it was amazing。 It made me laugh， made me love and cry a lot！ This is the most passionate relationship I’ve ever read… these two together are perfect and I want to find someone like Elliott dammit！！！！ An amazing romance book！ Up there in my top 3 for sure！ Second chance romance might be one of my favorite tropes ！

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Wow。 Seriously， it’s everything I’ve been looking for。 The way they connect through books， the way Elliot always loved her， the way she has an amazing career… wow！！I really enjoyed reading about Macy and Ell， but a some minor things that bugged me were: - the plot was very expected and I wished something MASSIVE had happened （ but maybe it’s just bc I’m used to CoHo who is a plot twist master）- how their “then” relationship wasn’t lived through。 I didn’t get enough of young Ell & Macy’s relation Wow。 Seriously， it’s everything I’ve been looking for。 The way they connect through books， the way Elliot always loved her， the way she has an amazing career… wow！！I really enjoyed reading about Macy and Ell， but a some minor things that bugged me were: - the plot was very expected and I wished something MASSIVE had happened （ but maybe it’s just bc I’m used to CoHo who is a plot twist master）- how their “then” relationship wasn’t lived through。 I didn’t get enough of young Ell & Macy’s relationship and I wished I’d seen them together more。 At least more than the whole Macy “being together will ruin us” thing : yes I got what she meant and I could totally see her pint but I def think she overthought it way too much， and it made me really eager to know what they were like together。And literally just wow。 That one like at the beginning already broke me in half: “Elliot and words。 Peanut butter and chocolate。 Coffee and biscotti。 Love matches made in heaven” My love for Elliot seemed to grow more and more every image I read。 The way he talked to Mace， the way he loved her and the way he understood her。 I simply loved the fact that they could talk about literally anything and he never judged her。I think wow is the word to define my state after reading this masterpiece。PS: favorite word？ -fate 。。。more

The title alone is so satisfying。 It’s the perfect descriptor of what you’re about to get yourself into。Other than the perfect title， the romance is beautiful。 Paced perfectly and in my opinion a great lovey dovey read without the cringe。 Also cried the last 100 pages so love that。

The ending of this book truly wrecked me。 I guessed it was coming， but I still wasn’t prepared。 Who doesn’t love a childhood best friends to lovers story？ Macy annoyed me a bit with how closed off and wishy washy she was， but that was probably by design。 I fell in love with Elliott as much as she did。 Not my favorite Christina Lauren， but my favorite Christina Lauren ending for sure。

Read in literally two days！ I loved reading the past and getting more insight to the present。 Their fallout had me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what happened that would end their soulmate love。 Love the ending and seeing them both grow as people but still being the same as they always have been。

Loved this book until the last few chapters， i feel the switch in the characters was 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳…I really enjoyed the relationship between all of the characters and the way grief is dealt with 🙏🙌🤷♀️
